New Penn State offense will take pressure off O-line; recruiting update

Today’s Penn State football news features a handful of recruiting updates, including a pair of top targets in Bo Melton and Robert Hainsey, as well as a a breakdown of Joe Moorhead’s new offense from coach James Franklin.

Franklin talked in-depth about Moorhead’s new-look offense, including the tempo and how it could help the offensive line. His comments, made at an Allentown clinic, were captured by Mark Wogenrich of the Morning Call:

“It’s about simplifying things for the offensive line,” Franklin said at the event. “There’s nothing wrong with what we were doing before, but it put pressure on the unit where we probably had the least amount of experience.”
