Penn State Center for Sports in Society Intercollegiate Athletics Conference
Our Center for the Study of Sports in Society is organizing a major conference before Michigan weekend. A two-day event starting on October 17th at 7:00 pm at the State Theatre will feature Jay Bilas of ESPN. Then on October 18th at the Lewis Katz Building, Penn State Law, starting at 8:00 am, Jay Bilas will be joined by Penn State Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Sandy Barbour, Knight Commission CEO Amy Perko, Chris Sanders of Learfield/IMG College and many more. They will be together discussing amateurism, finance, governance, sponsorships, concussions, analytics, women in sport. Friday’s activities will conclude with a keynote speech by Tom McMillen regarding big-time Athletic Directors. These are leading experts and sports industry addressing important topics of our day.
